Voice of the People by Okiya Omtatah Okoiti

Okiya Omtatah Okoiti’s satirical play, Voice of the People (2007), is an important dramatic text studied under Uganda's UNEB A-Level Literature in English (Paper 3: Plays). Written by a prominent Kenyan human rights activist and politician, the play functions as an unyielding critique of postcolonial African leadership. It exposes the intersection of state corruption, environmental ecocide, neo-liberal exploitation, and the ultimate power of grassroots civil resistance.
